Australia & New Zealand – Early Medical Career

Professor Patrick Treacy spent part of his early medical career in Australia and New Zealand, gaining broad clinical experience in both urban and remote healthcare settings. In Australia, he worked with the Royal Flying Doctor Service, delivering medical care to geographically isolated communities, an experience that required adaptability across a wide range of clinical scenarios.

He also worked in regional centres including Broken Hill, where exposure to rural medicine and limited-resource environments further developed his practical clinical skills. In Toowoomba, he gained experience in the management of skin cancer, working in dedicated centres where early detection and treatment of sun-related disease were a major clinical focus.
