About Dr Patrick Treacy

Professor Patrick Treacy has made significant contributions to the advancement of aesthetic patient safety and regenerative medicine over more than three decades.

He was among the early international advocates of hyaluronidase-based management of hyaluronic acid filler vascular occlusion, developing and teaching clinical rescue protocols designed to reduce tissue injury and prevent necrosis. His work helped advance professional awareness of vascular complications, early recognition and emergency intervention in aesthetic medicine.

An early adopter of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in aesthetic practice, dating to 2003, Professor Treacy has also contributed to the clinical exploration of stem-cell-based approaches, growth factors, regenerative signalling and tissue repair.

His wider contributions include international medical education, having trained more than 10,000 doctors and nurses, and promoting evidence-based standards in aesthetic and regenerative medicine.

His continued work focuses on translating advances in regenerative biology into responsible clinical practice, while distinguishing promising scientific developments from interventions lacking adequate human evidence.
